LABOUR is a collaborative work by Stefano Faoro and Ghislaine Leung that builds on a series of ongoing discussions between the two artists concerning production and exhibition. LABOUR consists of a selection of commercial goods and a digital publication produced over 48 hours in the exhibition’s location. Focusing on one department store, commercial goods are considered for exhibition and photographed on site. Selected commercial goods are exhibited alongside a PDF file of images of excluded goods and their associated metadata. After exhibition all materials are either returned or recirculated; the materials for LABOUR at Schleuse have been rented from Carla, Mittersteig 10, 1050 Vienna.
